Tower Bells
The centre of religious history in the Parish is most likely found in the Celtic
Cross which stands in the ancient churchyard. It is likely that there was a Saxon building before the Norman Church built by the Lords of Tremodrett. The Norman Church was largely rebuilt in the 14th century and restored in 1820-2 and again in 1890.
The church's most valued feature is the Norman Font. It is an excellent specimen of the "Bodmin Type". It is made of Pentewan stone and dates from approximately 1180.
The 15th century tower of moorstone granite rises to a height of some 85 feet and forms a well known landmark. It carries a peal of eight bells.
