Caroline Crozier, Lifetime Buckley Area Resident, Dies

Mrs. Caroline Crozier, 74, of Buckley, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Gibson City Community Hospital. She had been ill several months and in the hospital one day. She was born October 27, 1883 near Buckley, the daughter of Fred and Sophia Krumwiede Hilgendorf. She was married Jan. 14, 1903 at Onarga to William Crozier. They have always lived in the Buckley-Loda community.
She is survived by the husband, three daughters, Miss Maybelle Crozier, Miss Beulah Crozier at home, and Mrs. Myrtle Genzel of Buckley; a number of grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Sophia King of Buckley, Mrs. Meta Ronna of Loda; and five brothers, Ed and Martin Hilgendorf of Buckley; Art Hilgendorf of Donovan, Rev. Carl Hilgendorf of Alton, Ill., and rev. Theodore Hilgendorf of Hilbert, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Wallace, a veteran of World War II, October, 1948, two brothers, August and Fred, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Theesfeld and Mrs. Emma Steinmann.
Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Buckley with burial in the church cemetery.
