By 1901, Joseph and family live at 20 Cambridge St., Stockport, Cheshire. His wife, Eliza ?? was b. abt. 1833 in Stockport, Cheshire. Children are : Elizabeth b. abt. 1856, Stockport, Emma, b. abt. 1861, Stockport, Eliza J., b. abt. 1867, Stockport and Mary H. b. abt. 1871, Stockport.

[7] Frances A. Lucy Mann Dewhurst was the daughter of Rev. William Henry Mann, the REgistrar of Lichfield. In 1851, George B. is a 7 year old Scholar; in 1861, George is listed as a Draper's Assistant, age 18.

[8] Birth calculated upon enumeratrion of Richard, age seven months old at the time of the 1851 census which was taken 30 March. In 1891 a Richard Dewhurst, Cotton Spinner, boards with the family of William Smith at 20 Sizer Street, Preston, Lancashire. He is listed as married, so his family must live elsewhere.
