Mary Louise (Fulcher) Barnett
Mary Louise Fulcher was born in Hyde Co. at Ocracoke on Nov. 25, 1846 to Josephus Fulcher, Sr. and Sarah "Sally" Garrish.  Mary died at Black Mountain, Buncombe Co., NC on June 12, 1922 and is buried at the Barnett Cemetery in Buxton, NC.  She married Oliver O'Neal Barnett at Cape Hatteras on Aug. 27, 1868 and the following children were born:

1. [child by someone else but raised by Oliver O. Barnett] Elnora C. "Nola" Barnett (March 1868 - May 15, 1950) married Richard W. Midgett in 1884 and Capt. Edward C. Manning in 1911.

2. Martha Laurette Barnett (Feb. 10, 1870 - June 11, 1926) married James Monroe Bragg in 1891 and Christopher Farrow "Kit" Midgett in 1906.

3. Alice Barnett (Mar. 3, 1871 - Jan. 17, 1898) married Edward James Midgett in 1888.

4. Evilena N. Barnett (Jan. 30, 1874 - Sept. 19, 1879) died of typhoid fever and is buried in the Barnett Cemetery in Buxton.

5. Walter Loren Barnett (Aug. 21, 1876 - Dec. 16, 1944) married Lonie Lee Jennette in 1900.

6. Olia Barnett (April 1880 - ???) no other information

7. John Fulcher Barnett (Aug. 8, 1881 - ???) no other information

Family members have said that Mary Louise played the piano and concertina.
