My Latter-day Saint Page

My name is Annette Womack and I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in October of 1966. I have been involved in genealogy work since the year following, finally taking on clients professionally since about 1970.

In 1988, I became the first director of the local "ward" (or Phase 3) Family History Center where I live. I was also called as the first Ward Consultant and as the first Stake Specialist in my ward and stake.

It was with great pleasure and humility that I recieved the news that a temple would be built in Louisiana.

The photo above was taken in the parking lot at the Baton Rouge stake center looking in the general direction in which the small temple will be built. The photo was taken in April 1999. At this time, the foundation has been laid and up-to-date construction photos can be seen at
Nick L'iterski's Baton Rouge Temple
page.

Currently, the closest temple for us to attend is the Dallas Texas Temple, a ten hour round-trip drive. You may use the following link to find out more about the Dallas Temple, its schedule, etc.
(I love Nick's temple pages, don't you!)

My family are members of the Winnfield Ward, Monroe Louisiana Stake. In the ward, I am the Ward Consultant.
One of my daughters is the Primary president and the other two daughters serve as counselor and song leader in primary.

I am the listkeeper for two LDS mailing list.
