Misc. Notes
Adam came across to America in 1756, went with his brothers to NC., and eventually settled in the Brush Creek area, right on the Randolph Co./Chatham Co. line. Unlike his brothers, who all became Quakers, Adam became a tub-thumping, foot-washing primitive Baptist. There is a family tradition that he was ostracized by all his other brothers except Charles, who accepted his Baptist ways. (History of Moffitt Family, The Moffettes of Normandy). 17
