ARTEMUS and SARAH YOUNG
History and Descendants

by: Charles Young

Artemus Young, my great grandfather, was born in New York in 1826. He married Sarah Ann who was born in Pennsylvania in 1830. They had 4 children (that I know about). They lived in Cook County Illinois and Valparaiso, Indiana and perhaps other places as well. You can read a more detailed history of this and other surname Young families and descendants by clicking on the links by their names.

Bob Aston and his wife lived at the southeast corner of Waldron & Alabama in Fort Smith. He taught electronics at the technical school across the street. That votech school would later become a part of nearby Westark Junior College, which later became the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. The Astons also ran a record store on 11th near Garrison, then on Garrison near 10th.
