ELIZ. GROSHONG DIES IN SEATTLE

     Requiem Mass for Elizabeth Groshong, 75, former resident of White Salmon, was said Saturday, Sept. 23 at St. Vincent's Home in Seattle where she has lived for six years.  Burial was in Holyrood Cemetery, Seattle.
     Mrs. Groshong was born in Goldendale Sept. 2, 1886 to Mr. and Mrs. James Colleary.  She was married to Odessar C. Groshong of White Salmon in 1915.  He died a few years after their marriage.
     Mrs. Groshong clerked at Heaman Brothers store here for many years.  Her kind, gracious and generous nature endeared to her to many customers.  Since retirement, Elizabeth has devoted her time to sewing for orphanages and other charitable institutions.
     She is survived by a son, James Groshong, 4432 19 St, San Francisco, Calif.; a daughter, Helen G. Mayes of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and sister, Mrs. Lee Grant, Santa Monica, Calif.

SERVICE HELD SEPT. 23 FOR ELIZ. GROSHONG

     Requiem Mass for Elizabeth Catherine Groshong was said on September 23rd at St. Vincent's Home in Seattle where she had been a resident for the past 6 years.  Mrs. Groshong passed away in a Seattle hospital at the age of 75 after a brief illness.
     Born in Goldendale, Wash., on September 2, 1886.  Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Colleary.  Married to Odessar C. Groshong in 1915.  Widowed a few years later.  Mrs. Groshong was many years a resident of White Salmon.  Since retirement she devoted her time to sewing for orphanages and other charitable institutions.  She was a kind, gracious and generous lady and is mourned by her family and many friends.
     She is survived by a son, James Groshong, 4432 19th St, San Francisco, Cal. A daughter, Helen G. Mayes of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and a sister, Mrs. Lee Grant, Santa Monica, Calif.
     Interment was in Holyrood Cemetery, Seattle.
