GEORGE LEET

     George Russell Leet, a lifelong resident of the area, died March 23, 1999, in the Hood River Care Center, at the age of 64.  
     Mr. Leet was born March 26, 1934, in Bingen, to George and Mary (Brandvoid) Leet. He was a 40-year member of the Mt. Adams Elks Lodge. He worked for Broughton Lumber Company for many years before retiring in 1986.
     Mr. Leet enjoyed traveling, particularly to gamble in Reno. He had a great sense of humor and really enjoyed people.
     Mr. Leet is survived by son Tony Leet, Hood River, Ore.; daughter-in-law Laura Leet, Hood River: son Brady Leet, Seattle; and granddaughter Stephanie Leet, Hood River. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Kenneth Leet.
     At his request, there were no services.
     Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home, White Salmon.
