GLADWIN HYLTON
Gladwin Hylton, Vancouver, died July 23 at his home at the age of 73.
He was born July 22, 1907, in Appleton to John and Vera
Hylton. Mr. Hylton was raised in the Trout Lake and Lyle areas, moving to Camas
in 1929. He has lived in Vancouver since 1956.
He was a member of Carpenters Local 583 in Portland and
was a retired building contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle F. (Ruth),
Vancouver; two sons, Dennis Hylton, and Gerald Borjessan, both of Vancouver; two
daughters, Janice Hylton, Vancouver, and Doris Barratt, Camas; two brothers,
Howard Hylton, White Salmon, and Stanley Hylton, Lyle; one sister, Dorothy
Cummings, Albany, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at
Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas. Burial was in the Camas Cemetery.
The family suggests remembrances be sent to Franklin
Heights Group Home for Retarded Citizens, 4809 Franklin, Vancouver.
