A. K. VIGUS
Aaron K. Vigus was born March 30th, 1898th in Severance, Kansas to Gertrude and
Thomas Vigus. He came to White Salmon in 1911 and had resided at Husum,
Washington since that time.
At Gladstone, Oregon on May 19, 1924 he was united in
marriage to Frances Cross.
For thirty-three years Mr. Vigus had been employed as
oiler for the Pacific Power & Light at Northwestern Dam in Klickitat County. He
was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and of the
BPOE for 26 years.
Surviving are his wife, Frances of Husum, Washington;
two daughters: Virginia Chambers of Lebanon, Oregon and Jacky Pecotte of
Seattle, Washington. A brother: M. D. Vigus of White Salmon, ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 13th, 1 p.m. at
Gardner’s Funeral Home in White Salmon with Rev. Homer Coulson of Goldendale,
Washington officiating and the BPOE Lodge # 1868 participating. Cremation
followed at Portland Memorial with internment of remains there.
Casket bearers were: Carl Twidwell, Charles Brown,
Arnie Hukari, Amos Pierce, Ed Larsen, Al Lermo.
