Capt. John Seeley was born on 13 August 1751.1 He married Phoebe Truax, daughter of Samuel Truax and Johanna Wilson, in 1773. Capt. John Seeley married Hannah Dianna Yeomans in 1800. Capt. John Seeley died on 29 April 1825 at Middleton, Monmouth Co., NJ.1

John Truax was the son of John Truax and Catherine Cox. John Truax was born on 31 October 1773.1 He married Althea Snyder on 13 June 1803. John Truax died on 1 April 1832 at Middleton, Monmouth Co., NJ.      (According to TTH Vol. 3, it was this John who married Althea Snyder, not Johannes s/o Abraham Truax and Elizabeth van Antwerp as stated in House of Truax. It makes more sense that way, since the family lived in NJ. Confirmed by Trevor Kirkpatrick. As an alternate theory, it's possible that he was the son of Cornelis Truax and Alatje Luister - the birthdates nearly match, and his children lived much closer to descendants of that branch of the family than that of John Truax and Catherine Cox.).
