Jewell Wendell Meacham

McLEAN - J. W.  Meacham, 85, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church of McLean with the Reverend Thacker Haynes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Lamb Funeral Home.

Mr. Meacham was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was owner and operator of McLean Hardware and was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death on October 15, 1979, by his wife, the former Dixie Nell Cheatham of Panhandle, Texas.  He was also preceded in death on December 17, 1968, by his mother, Ollie Lane Meacham of Turkey, Texas.

Survivors include a son, Joel David Meacham of Tempe, Ariz.; two daughters, Donna Vineyard of Glen Rose and Nancy Billingsley of Midland; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
