Anyone can be a volunteer for as much or as little as they want. You can volunteer for whatever you have time or willingness to do, and you may quit at any time. Volunteers are the heart and back bone of this genealogy project so if you have access to Berkeley, Charleston and/or Dorchester County resources, and can give a few hours of your time to help promote free online genealogy, please email us or fill out the easy Submission Form.

Homepage and Other Links
Anyone with personal homepages relating to any of the three counties. Also any other new links pertaining to any of the three counties that you would like to share with others. Add your link here!
Cemetery Transcriptions
Transcribing cemetery information in any one or all of the three counties.
Cemetery Photos
If you live in the TriCounty area, or are visiting, why not photograph a cemetery? There are many small ones that can be photographed in less than an hour! I cannot tell you the urgency to get the headstones photographed. The cemeteries are being vandalized, and some stones are simply not readable anymore. You CAN help by making a record of them with photographs.
Courthouse Indexes
We need someone who can spend some time at the county court houses and copy courthouse indexes. If you can copy one book, this would be helpful. Then they can be snail mailed to me, and we will find someone to transcribe them for the website.
Marriage Records Project
We would like to provide a marriage record database with the name of the bride and groom, their parents, marriage date and license number. With just this small amount of information, researchers can add a new generation of ancestors to their growing family.
Newspaper Project
Do you have copies of old newspapers that you would be willing to transcribe and donate? Old newspapers can be a wealth of informaiton for someone searching for that elusive ancestor. There are also many interesting articles full of information such as any articles on the Santee Cooper Project of the early 1900's, information on our political leaders, etc. Many of these old newspapers can be found on microfilm at local libraries. Can YOU help us with this?
