John Steward

From the Charleston Post & Courier January 2002

The relatives and friends of Mr. John Wesley Steward better known as "Wes," those of his father, John O. McCullough and Mother Ethel Steward, step-father, James Manigault, his companion, Joyce Mack of Summerville, his children, John W. Steward, Jr., Tora L. Steward, Kaneisha K. Steward, his brothers, Lamar J. Ellis (Denise), Tony L. Ellis (Mitzi), and Al-McCullough, his sisters, Vanessa V. Ellis, Felecia S. Ellis Patricia McCullough Brown (Andrew), his step-sisters, Marshia D. Marchbanks, Dorothy Merchant (Robert), his four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and all other relatives and friends are invited to attend his home-going services at Royal Missionary Baptist Church, 1807 Pearson St., No. Charleston, S.C., 1 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2002. Rev. Isaac J. Holt, Jr., pastor.

Interment, Cherry Hill Cemetery, Ladson, S.C. Mr. Steward will lie in state at the North Area Chapel this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
