About five miles north-west of Pinopolis on state highway No. 6, Area about 1 acre.

In area to be flooded. Records obtained from Santee-Cooper Authority by Mrs. T.L. Connor, Eutawville, SC.

Hanover Plantation: Home of Paul de St Julien, who erected the house in 1716. Henry Ravenel (1729-1785) married Mary de St. Julien in 1750, and moved therein in 1751. For nearly two hundred years it has been occupied by the St. Juliens and Ravenels, and was one of their burial grounds.

The first two entries have more information than the others.

Mrs. Charlotte Porcher, wife of Thomas Porcher and daughter of William & Mary Mazyck. She departed this life on the 8th of Mar 1804. In the thirty third year of her age.

Catherine Ravenel, wife of Stephen Ravenel and daughter of William and Mary Mazyck. She departed this life the 8th of Feb., 1803, age 33 years and 6 months.

Stephen Ravenel died 24th Dec 1818 age 48 years and 10 months
Henry Ravenel died Feb 24, 1823 age 72 years
Daniel James Ravenel died Oct 31, 1836 age 62 years
Henry Ravenel died April 5th, 1785  
Paul de St. Julian died 1741  
Mary de St. Julian died April 16th 1779  
Eliza Amy Ravenel died Sept 9th, 1783 born: 1769
Paul Rene Ravenel died Nov 10th, 1755  
Mary Ravenel died Sept. 8th, 1756  
Catherine Demario Ravenel died Aug 27, 1777 born: 1776
Catherine Mazyck Ravenel died Jan 8th, 1803  
Peter St. Julian Ravenel died Aug 27, 1777 born: 1770
James La Noble Ravenel died Jan 2, 1782 born: 1770
Susanna Ravenel died Feb 7th, 1758 born: 1756

Note: Both Stephen and Daniel Ravenel were Secretary of State for South Carolina
