Our award is given to those people who support free genealogy on the internet. In doing searches on Google for genealogy resources, every page the search engine brought up had half to all of the links on their page going to a pay site.

We have two awards, a gold award and a silver award. You must meet the guidelines to receive either one of them. Please be patient after you apply for the award. We check each site carefully to make sure it meets the guidelines we set forth here. Not every site will win this award. If you do not hear from SCTC, you did not win. Winners will be notified by email and the graphic with their site name and instructions to link it back to us. You will also be listed on the winners page.

The Guidelines

1. Your site must be a genealogy site.
2. It has to be more than just links. You must have family history/genealogy of your own or that will help other researchers.
3. For the gold award, you must not have any links to pay site pages such as Ancestry or Genealogy.com.
4. For the silver award, you can have up to 3 links to pay sites, but no more.
5. Your site must be suitable for ALL viewers. No profanity, hate or adult themes.
6. Your site must be easy to navigate with email links to you easy to find.
7. Your award must be linked back to the main page of this site.

To apply for one of these awards, please send me an Email. Make sure you have "GOLD AWARD APPLICATION" or "SILVER AWARD APPLICATION" in the subject line and answer all of the following:

1. Your Name
2. Name of your site
3. URL of your site
4. Brief discription of your site
5. Do you have any links to commercial sites?
6. Is your site suitable for all viewers?
