  Charles Monroe 'Chuck' Wilcox was born in Puyallup, Washington on October 5, 1921 to James William Wilcox and Mabel Gertrude (Sinex) Wilcox, passed away February 13, 1994 at Oregon City, Oregon. Services were held at Hillside Chapel, Thursday, February 17, 1994 with Pastor Wayne Hill officiating. Private interment at Willamette National Cemetery.
  Although his great grandparents Levi Wilcox and Elizabeth (Alkire) Wilcox; his grandparents George Benjamin Wilcox and Rebecca Jane (Dougherty) Wilcox and his father James William Wilcox arrived in Pierce County during the summer of 1884, five years prior to Washington acquiring Statehood, and his mother's family, Thomas Sinex & Lieuella (Walker) Sinex arriving in the fall of 1904, Chuck was of the first generation born in Washington State.
  Chuck grew up in the Puyallup Valley, attending elementary and high school there. Serving in the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps - a U.S. federal agency [1933-1943] organized by President Franklin Roosevelt to utilize the nation's young unemployed by building roads, planting trees, etc.,) prior to his enlistment in the U.S. Army during World War II serving as an MP in Australia. After the end of the war he was visiting a brother in Oregon City, Oregon and while there, met his future wife, Fern Elizabeth Worden, a daughter of Jay Stice Worden & Nellie Frances (Kitch) Worden. Chuck and Fern married June 20, 1947 in Vancouver, Washington. Their first home was in Auburn, Washington where he was employed by the Army General Depot until its closure, at which time they decided to move to Oregon City and where he was employed by Crown Zellerbach, a paper mill, and where he remained throughout the company's major cutbacks. It was at this time they were introduced to apartment management and served as live-in managers until their retirement.
  Chuck & Fern were the parents of two children. Danny Jay born while they were in Auburn, Washington on October 18, 1949. Madeline Lucille made her arrival in Oregon City, Oregon on October 16, 1952.
  Chuck is survived by his wife Fern, son Danny & wife Diane, daughter Madeline & husband Robert Newton and five grandchildren, Amanda Lynn, Angela Fern, Andrew Jay Wilcox, and Janet Lyn and Jay Allen Newton. He is also survived by two brothers, Clarence L. (Edna), William R. (Virginia) and one sister Leola O. Coffman (Charles Alfred). He was preceded in death by his parents James William & Mabel Gertrude Wilcox, two brothers Orville J. and Orris G. and one sister Isal G. Moxley.

text: " ROSEVILLE -- Mary C. Oberjohnn, 88, of Macomb, formerly of Roseville,
died at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 1996, at McDonough District Hospital in
Macomb.
Born March 1, 1908, in Swan Creek to David A. and Nellie M. King Stice, she
married Otto L. Oberjohnn on Nov. 29, 1930, in Kampsville. He died Feb. 13,
1982. One half brother also preceded her in death.   Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Otto (Mary Joan) German of Knoxville and Mrs. John (Carolyn)
Ewen of Roseville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  She was a
member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Macomb, the Colfaxt Club and the
National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.  Services will be at
2:30 p.m. Sunday at Corman Memorial Home in Roseville. The Rev. Paul H.
Koschmann will officiate. Friends may call at noon on Saturday at the memorial
home, with the family present one hour before the service. Burial will be in
Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Roseville Ambulance
or to Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb.
