Northern California Norman Wilford "Bill" Stice, who served for many years with
the University of California Agricultural Extension Service, died last week in
his longtime Davis home.  He was 91.
  A 1926 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Mr. Stice was born
on July 5, 1904 on his parents ranch at Two Rock, near Petaluma.  From an early
age, Mr. Stice developed a love of gardening and would dazzle friends and
colleagues by raising intricate and beautiful bonsai plants.  Mr. Stice worked
in the UC Agricultural Extension Service in San Benito, Lake, Colusa, and
Sacramento.
 Upon his 1969 retirement the regeants of the University of California
confirmed upon him the title of agriculturist emeritus.
 A member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and the Masonic Lodge, Mr. Stice is
survived by his wife of 69 years, Marie Louise Stice of Davis.
 He is also survived by two sons: Charles and his wife, Dora Lou, of Davis and
Alan and his wife, Jean, of Santa Clara, four grandchildren, three
great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Family services are being
held in Penn Valley.  Remembrances may be made in the name of Norman Stice at
the Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, Ca. 95616.

  She was born March 7, 1914, in St. Louis to Hubert and Nona Flynn Fleming. She married Raymond U. Meyer in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1949 in St. Louis. She was also preceded by her parents; one brother, Floyd Fleming; two sisters, Doris Fisher and Ellen Mullin; and one granddaughter, Kelley Fletcher.
  She is survived by one daughter, Sue (Jerry) Fletcher of  Bloomington; two grandchildren,  Mike (Beth) Fletcher of Bloomington and Julie (Jared) Baughman of O'Fallon; two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Brady Fletcher, both of  Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.
  As she raised her only child, Susan, she worked many years as secretary to the President of  the First National Bank of Wellston.  This later became Boatman's Bank of Westport, where she continued to work until she retired in 1979.  Margie was an avid golfer, belonging to Bogey Hills Country Club in St. Louis.  She also created many stories and poems for special occasions in the life of her family and friends.
  She had been a member of the Samuel United Church of Christ in Clayton, where she was active in the Women's Fellowship and had been a preschool Sunday school teacher for many years.  She moved to Bloomington in 1995 to be near her daughter and family and became a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal.
  Her funeral will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Calvary United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Randall K. Perry, the Rev. Jennie Edwards Bertrand and the Rev. Rebecca Lembke will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.  A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lake Charles Park Cemetery in St. Louis.
   Memorials may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal.
