Edina, Mo., - Mrs. Wilma Constance Blake, 74, a longtime Edina resident, died at
6:25 p.m. Saturday (Dec., 10, 1983) in Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville.
Mrs. Blake was born Oct. 19, 1909, at Monticello, a daughter of Theodore and
Carrie Mae Gilbert Stice, She married Justin Edward Blake on Sept. 23, 1924 in
LaBelle. He died Feb. 28, 1976. She had lived in Edina since 1942, previously
living at Knox City, LaBelle and Canton.
Surviving are five sons, Charles Eldon Blake of Southwest City, Donald
Edward Blake of Edina, Leon Blake of Dittimer, Billy Dean Blake of Memphis, and
Robert Dale Blake of Quincy; three daughters, Mrs. Cletus (Wilma Laree) Burkhard
of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Frank (Lillian Nadie) Parrott of Witchita, Kan., and
Mrs. Donald (Peggy Jean) Gragg of Edina; four brothers, Chester Stice of
Monticello, Richard Stice of Quincy, Preston Stice of New Zealand, and Willard

Joseph W. Stice, Sr., 57 of Payson, Ill., died Friday night, May 23, at Blessing hospital in Quincy.
Services were held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Arnold Funeral home in Lewistown with the Rev. George Tomoko officiating.
Burial was in Lewistown cemetery with Henry Johnson, William Allison, Melvin Allison, Raymond Heck, Randy Rayl and Kenneth Stice as pall bearers.
Joseph William Stice was born November 11, 1911, near Monticello, a son of Theodore and Carrie May Gilbert Stice. He married Ruby F. Edwards March 12, 1932, at Edina.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Theodore and Joseph, both of Quincy; a
daughter, Mrs. Raymond Heck of Liberty; four brothers, Chester of Monticello,
Preston of New Zealand, Richard of Quincy, and Willard of Corpus Christi, Tex.;

Army during World War II in the Normandy Campaigns receiving two Bronze Stars. He was a past member of the LaBelle Post #200 and a current member of the Lewis County Memorial Post #578 of Lewistown. He was employed by McRoberts Farms for 32 years. He was featured in the Farm Journal in 1955. He received a proclamation from the Missouri State Senate for his contributions in agriculture.

Preston 'Pete' Stice
Lewistown, Mo. - Cecil Preston "Pete" Stice, 69 of Mosgiel, New Zealand, a
native of Lewistown, Mo., and a career Navy man, died Thrusday (Sept 12, 1991)
in Mosgiel.
Born Dec. 25, 1921, Mr. Stice was a son of Theodore and Carrie Gilbert
Stice. He joined the Navy in 1941. After 20 years, he retired as chief petty
officer and moved to New Zealand.
On Oct. 28, 1959, he married Jane "Sheena" Martin of Scotland. She survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Kathleen Goodman of New Zealand; three
brothers, Chester of Monticello, Willard of Pensacola, Fla., and Richard of
Quincy, Ill.; sis sisters , Mary Edwards of Williamstown, Thelma Blake of
Quincy, Geraldine Allison of Keokuk, Iowa, Norma Brightwell of LaBelle, Gilberta
Rayl of Palmyra and Doris Allison of Lewistown and a granddaughter, Sarah Jane
Goodman of New Zealand. He was preceded in deaty by a sister, Wilma Blake; and
two brothers, Joe and Gilbert.

Dec. 20, 1923 to June 2, 2009 QUINCY, Ill. -- Lydia Geraldine Allison, 85 years, five months and 12 days, of Lincoln Douglas Apartments, Quincy, Ill., formerly of Keokuk, went to be with the Lord at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, in Sunset Home, Quincy. She was the daughter of Theodore and Carrie Mae Gilbert Stice, born on Dec. 20, 1923, in Lewiston, Mo. She was united in marriage to William Arthur Allison on Nov. 19, 1947, in Plainview, Texas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 2003. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Keokuk. Lydia was employed by Sheller Globe for more than 20 years. She enjoyed baking Christmas sugar cookies for her family, canning, reading, embroidery and visiting family. She was famous in her family for her homemade noodles and coleslaw.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary R. Hudnut Redd of Maywood, Mo., and Linda L. Gibleon and her husband, Elmer, of Quincy; three sons, Melvin Jr. Allison and his wife, Marlyce, of Denmark, William Gary Allison and his wife, Robin, of Smithville, Mo., and Cletus E. Allison of Bedford, Texas; eight grandchildren, Glenda Mann of Quincy, Gail Berry of Glenwood, Mo., Glinton Gibleon and Tallie Meyer, both of Quincy, Jerrilynn Reynolds of Winfield, Elyssa Allison of Kansas City, Mo., Nikki Allison of Ozark, Mo., Jessica Allison of Smithville, Mo.; 15 great- grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and six sisters, and a grandson, Eric Wayne Allison. Stice, 70, of Quincy Route 5, died at 11:14 a.m. Monday (July 18, 1998) in
Blessing Hospital. Born Dec 25, 1927 in Lewistown, Mo., Mr. Stice was a son of
Theodore and Carrie Mae Gilbert Stice. He married Helen Cantrell Nov. 8, 1952,
in St. Louis, Mo. She survives.
Mr. Stice was employed by Burlington Truck Lines beginning 1953. He was employed
by Churchill Truck Lines until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the
Teamsters Union. Mr. Stice had been a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose
since 1968, was a member of the Moose Legion and was a life member of the
Fellowship Degree.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Kenneth Stice, and his wife, Eloise of Chana;
a daughter, Mrs. Gregory (Karen Ann ) Heidbrier of Troy, Mo.; seven

Mr. Stice was preceeded in death by his grandson, John Chevas; his
great-grandaughter, Victoria Shepski;, his sister, Wilma Blake, and three
brothers, Joseph Stice, Preston Stice and Willard Stice.
Services will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today with the family present to greet friends
from 6 to 8 p.m. Loyal Order of Moose will conduct services at 6:30 tonight.

Norma Clara Margarite Brightwell, 73, LaBelle, Mo., died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, in LaBelle Manor Care Center, LaBelle, Mo. Born March 1, 1930, in Lewistown, Mo., the daughter of Theodore and Carrie Mae Gilbert Stice. She married William Brightwell, December 14, 1984 at LaBelle. Mrs. Brightwell was raised in Lewis County, where she received her education. She was a nurse's aide from Prairie View Nursing Home, Lewistown; St. Mary's Hospital, Quincy; and LaBelle Manor, LaBelle. She enjoyed spending time with horses and ponies. Survivors include her husband, William, LaBelle; four sisters, Thelma Blake, and Geraldine Allison and husband, William, all of Quincy, Gilberta Rayl and husband Vernon, Palmyra, Mo., and Doris Allison, Lewistown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Wilma Blake and Mary Edwards; six brothers, Gilbert Stice, Joseph Stice, Chester Stice, Preston Stice, Richard Stice, and Willard Stice. Funeral services were held Friday, June 13, at Coder Funeral Chapel, LaBelle, with Rev. Donald Waterman officiating. Interment was at LaBelle Cemetery, LaBelle, Mo. Music selections were "Beyond The Sunset" and "Life's Railway To Heaven". Pallbearers were Randy Rayl, Leon Blake, Kenneth Stice, Elmer Gibleon, Melvin Allison, and Eugene Stice.

Mrs. Doris Marie Allison, 73 of Lewistown, Mo. died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 11:16 PM at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Il.
The daughter of Theodore and Carrie Mae Gilbert Stice she was born on September 7, 1935 in Lewistown, Mo.
She was united in marriage to Melvin LeRoy Allison on September 9, 1951 in Williamstown, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2003.
Doris was a member of the Lewistown Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was always preparing meals for those in their time of need in her community. She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Mae Harper of Denton, Texas., a son, Eston LeRoy Allison & wife Ethel of Nixa, Mo.; two grandchildren, Erik and Greg Allison; a great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Allison; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Geraldine Allison of Quincy, Il.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, and five sisters.
Funeral services will be heldThursday, December 11, 2008 at10:00 AM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown with Pastor Olivia Earlywine officiating with burial in the Lewistown Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Cemetery Assoc.
