Stella E. Keling 1910-2005 Stella E. Keling, 94, St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at a King City, Mo., health-care center. Stella was born July 5, 1910, in Hastings, Neb., to Frank and Verida Dell (Post) Hudson. She had been a St. Joseph resident most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church. Stella married Clarence Keling on Feb. 18, 1931, in King City. He passed away March 15, 1997. She also was preceded in death by her parents. Stella is survived by cousins, Eugene Post, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; Virginia Tompkins, Independence, Mo.; Violet Valentine, Adel, Iowa; Helen Traudt, Lincoln, Neb.; Lucile Beaman, Arispe, Iowa; and LaVerne Post, King City. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. There will be no service. Interment will be at Ashland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Calvary Baptist Church in St. Joseph.

Eugene C. Post, 85, Excelsior Springs MO, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Liberty Hospital.
  Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 17, 2008 at the Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs.
  Eugene was born on September 17, 1922 in Paradise KS. the son of Clarence Lee and Della Virginia (Dolan) Post.
  He served in the U.S Navy During WWII.
  On February 4, 1955 he married his wife of over 57 ears Phyllis (Wright) Post. He retired after 39 years from Knappco in Riverside where he worked as a Foreman. He then was co-owner with his son of Gene and Calvins Muffler Shop in Excelsior Springs.
  He attended Salem Christian Union Church, Excelsior Springs.
Gene truly enjoyed bowling and football.
  Survivors include his wife Phyllis of the home, one son Calvin Lee Post and wife Tara of Kansas City; one daughter, Lisa Jean Martinez and husband Arturo of Rayville; one sister Virginia Tomkins and husband Paul of Independence; and eight grandchildren: Josh, Jason, and Brandon Post, Brianna Blackmon, and Natasha, Vanessa, Antonio, and Jason Martinez. Phyllis Jean Post, 76, of Excelsior Springs, Mo passed away Wednesday August 20, 2008 at her home.
  Born November 27, 1931 in Carrollton, Mo she was the daughter of Samuel H. and Ethyl B. (Hawkins) Wright. On February 4, 1955 she was married to Eugene C. Post, her husband of 53 years before he preceded her in death May 14, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Dale Wright, Herbert Wright, Jay Wright and Harold Wright and two sisters, Dorothy Moore and Ruth Wilson.
  Surviving are her son, Calvin Lee Post and wife Tara of Kansas City, Mo;her daughter, Lisa Jean Martinez and husband Arturo of Rayville, Mo; and eight grandchildren, Josh, Jason and Brandon Post, Brianna Blackmon and Natasha, Vanessa, Antonio and Jason Martinez.
  Mrs. Post was raised in Carrollton where she received her education and graduated from Carrollton High School. She lived in Kansas City for a brief time and then in Independence for 16 years before moving to Excelsior Springs in 1977. She had been employed at Sears and also Gene and Calvin's Muffler Shop and was a homemaker.
  Phyllis attended the Salem Christian Union Church where she was active on the prayer line. The most important things in her life were her family and her church family. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held Sunday August 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to the Salem Christian Union Church.

ESTHER EDWARDS.
AVON - Esther Edwards, 85, Avon, died Sunday at 6:04 a.m. on Galesburg Cottage Hostpital.
 She was born Sept. 23, 1903, in Nebraska, the daughter of Syreenis LeRoy and Alice Trader Young.  She married Louis Edwards on Sept. 15, 1928 in Peoria.
 Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Roberta) Pippett, Dickinson, Texas, Mrs. Marvin (Donna Louise) Sims, Northridge, Calif.; two sisters, Bethlene Young, Rock Island, and Eula Spellman, Galesburg, four grand children and two great-grandchildren.
  She was a member ofthe Women's Committee of the Warren County Farm Bureau, Prairie City United Presbyterian Church, the church's quilting and missionary societies and had been as a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.
 Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Pririe City United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John Duling officiating.  Friends may call Tuesday after 3 p.m. at martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell; the family will be present Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Bural will be in Avon Cemetery.
 Memorials wmay be made to Prairie City United Presbyterian Church's Christian education department, the family said.

AVON - Louis Edwards, 87, of 102 Circle Drive died at 8:20 pm. Sunday, Feb. 16, 1992 at Humana Hospital in Clear Lake City, Texas.
 Born Nov. 10, 1904 in Kirkwood to David and Minnie Frank Edwards, he married Esther Young on Sept. 15, 1928 in Peoria.  She died Nov. 20, 1988.
 Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Roberta) Pippitt of Dickinson, Texas, and Mrs. Marvin (Donna) Sims of Reseda, Calif.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gertrude Line of Aledo and Audrey McIntyre of Sparland.
 He farmed in the Cameron and Avon communities, retiring in 1974.  He was a member of Bushnell Rotary Club and a former member of Monmouth Masonic Lodge.
 He was also a member of Prairie City Presbyterian Church, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday.  The Ref. John Duling will officiate.  Calling hours will be after 2 p.m. today at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, where the family will be present from 7 to 9.  Burial will be in Avon Cemetery.
 Memorials may be made to his church.
