She was a lifelong Cass County resident. Mrs. Welch was the vice president and past president of the Peculiar Senior Citizens, president of the Peculiar Cemetry Association and the Cass County Senior Citizens and treasurer of the Cass County Extension Club and the Peculiar High School Alumni Association. She formerly was a Pink Lady volunteer for the Cass Medical Center Auxiliary and an oracle of the Royal Neighbors of America. She was a former 4-H Club leader and a volunteer at the Harrisonville Craft Shop. She was treasurer of the Peculiar United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women and was president of the Wesley Sunday school class. She was the widow of Raymond E. Welch. Survivors include their son, Raymond Eugene Welch of the home, and two sisters, Nellie Allen, Peculiar, and Ruth Sevy, Cedar Falls, Iowa. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church; burial in the Peculiar Cemetary. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville.
