He made his home in Clay and Nuckolls counties for the last twenty-one years, and in Nora for the last eighteen years, where he has made many friends. In July, 1924, he united with the Christian church at Nora, where he was a faithful worker until his health began to fail, but his sicknesss (sic) did not make him disbelieve in his Master. The following verse expresses the feeling of all of his friends: Greater than the finest jewel That the Lord could ever send; Always faithful, kind and true, Everybody called him friend. Funeral services were held in the Christian Church at Nora Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. C.M. Foust, pastor of the Nelson Church.
