ADA DELLA LINDSEY RITES IN BISMARCK
  Mrs. Ada Della Lindsey, formerly of Bismarck, died in Hammond, Ind., May 13.  She was born May 18, 1869 in Bismarck, the daughter of the late George W. and mary Elizabeth Shaner.  She was 96 years, 6 months and 8 days of age.
  She was married to James Riley and he and a son George F. preceded her in death.
  Surviving are two sons, Melville W. Lindsey of Denver, Colorato, Bert E. Lindsey of Hammond, Ind.; one daughter Ethel B. (Mrs. Thomas E. Strauser) of Hammond, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grand-children; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
  Mrs. Lindsey made her home in bismarck until 1938 when she moved to Hammond.
  Funeral services were Monday, 2 p.m. at Shipman and Sons Chapel, Bismarck with the rev. James Anderson of the Mismarck First Baptist Church officiating.  Interment was int he Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. W. A. Baugh, aged 41 years, son of the late J.(Josiah) M.(Marcine) and Rebecca M.(Parker) Baugh, of Overland,(St.Louis Co.) Mo., died Thursday January 19, 1933. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church at Doe Run, Mo., Saturday January 21st with Rev. Van Patton of Overland, Mo., officiating.
He is survived by his (2nd)wife, Clara Baugh, of Overland, Mo., three children, Russel, Chesley and Bernice Baugh, who have lived with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Boswell, of Doe Run, Mo. since the death of their mother some 17 years ago. He also leaves 3 sisters, Mrs. Paul Marler, Bonne Terre, Mo., Mrs. Beatrice Woolsey and Dorothy Baugh, of St. Louis and two brothers, Homer and Howard Baugh, both of DeSoto, Mo., one half brother, Joe Baugh of Desloge, Mo., and one half sister Mrs. Nellie Maness, of Desloge, Mo.

OBITUARY: 4-19-59 ISAAC D MEADOWS: Isaac Denton Meadows, son of the late Jobe and Elizabeth(Hughes)Meadows, was born in Ste. Genevieve Co. Missouri on 3 Jul 1869 and departed this life in the Bellview Valley Nursing Home on Saturday, 19 Apr 1959, age 89 yrs, 9 months 16 days.  On Sep. 10, 1890, he was united in Marriage to Carrie Lindsey and to this union six children were born.  Mrs. Meadows preceded him in death in Feb 1941, and two children are also deceased.  Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Alvin R. Meadows of Parkville, Missouri, and Oscar F. Meadows of Potosi; Faustine(Mrs. Emerson Colson) of Desloge, and Ferol(Mrs. Clyde Burns)of Bonne Terre.  He also leaves 8 grandchildren, 14 Great Grand-children, and other relatives and friends.  Mr. Meadows was a life long member of the Desloge Odd Fellow Lodge and was a trustee and looked after the care of the cemetery as long as he was able.  He was one of the few remaining old time residents of Desloge and will be greatly missed by many children of the town of whom he was so fond.  Mr. Meadows was employed as a millwright for the Desloge Lead Company and helped lay the foundation for the original mill in Desloge.  Funeral services will be held this Wednesday, 22 Apr at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Desloge, conducted by the Rev. James Estep, pastor.  Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery.  C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Service.

"First I want to introduce myself. I am Velda (Balkey) Meadows and I live in Tennessee.
I have a William Suratt that married into my family.
I have a guardianship paper dated 5 March 1886 that states my grandfather was appointed guardian of W. H. Surratt. This was in Marshall Co. Kentucky.
I also have a marriage certificate 5 March 1896 of W. H. Suratt to Josie Smothers the sister of my grandmother.
Frank Balkey (that signed the guardianship paper for W. H. Surratt) and Susie Smothers were married in October after W. H. Surrat and Josie Smothers were married .
We find in 1900 census that W. H. and Josie Surratt are living in Paducah, Mccracken Co Kentucky on Hayes Avenue. Both are 22 years of age been married 4 years.
We have never heard that they had any children, but it is markrd 1 then it looks like it was marked through with -.. We have also not found when they died.
So what I am asking is do you think this is the same W. H. Suratt that you have on the world tree, and do you have any other information on W. H. Surat?. What happened to them after 1900-when did they die?
