  Funeral services for MRS. JOE (should be James) W. LINDSEY, former Denison woman who died Sunday morning at 6:30 o'clock at her home 12 miles east of Anna, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Short- Murray Chapel here. Burial was in Coffman - Layne Cemetery with Rev. L. P. Lamb, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
  Mrs. Lindsey, who was close  to 80 years old resided at the Cotton Mill here several years prior to the death of her husband, who was engaged in truck farming at the Cotton Mill.
  Since her husband's passing, Mrs. Lindsey had made her home with a son, Willie Lindsey near Anna. Her death followed a year of illness and her condition had been critical the last three or four weeks.
  Surviving in addition to the son near Anna is one other son, Robert Lindsey of Kemp, Oklahoma ; two daughters, Mrs. Nannie Terrell of Anna and Mrs. E. G. Odle of Texola, Oklahoma. Mrs Odle had been at her mother's bedside five months.

JAMES W. LINDSEY, 70 years of age died at his home at the Cotton Mill, Sunday afternoon at 1: 35 o'clock after a lengthy illness which began with a paralytic stroke suffered four months ago.
Mr. Lindsey was born in Kentucky, April 7, 1857. He had been a resident of Denison for the last sixteen years. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Cotton Mill. Surviving are his widow ; two daughters, Mrs. Nannie Terrell of Van Alstyne and Mrs. Josie Odle of Texola, Oklahoma ; two sons, Robert Lindsey of Vernon and Willie Lindsey of Denison & fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the home Monday morning at 9 o'clock with Rev. L. R. Lamb officiating. Interment was in Coffman - Layne Cemetery, west of Denison. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Short - Murray, Funeral Home.
