This page is dedicated to the memory of Emily and Lacie our two Springer Spaniels who gave us so much joy and love.

We have had many pets over the years, but none have given us as much joy and love as Freckles and Lacie, our two springer spaniels. Our first springer, Emily, was killed by a car. To replace the void she left we purchased Freckles in early 1989. We attempted to get another springer from the parents of Emily, but none were available. A few months after we got Freckles, we received a call that a puppy was available for the same parents as Emily, so we went to take a look. It was love at first sight, so Lacie became a member of our family. Freckles was so proud and pestered Lacie so much, we had to build a special house that only Lacie could get into, just to keep Freckles from licking her. They have been comrades and partners since the day we brought Lacie home. Unfortunately, Lacie died from a malady in her immune system this August. She leaves behind a great void in all our lives. This page is dedicated to her.

Lacie loved the beach. She and Freckles would run until they were ready to drop. They liked the water and especially the birds. They loved to chase birds and Lacie was almost fast enough to catch them. She was very strong and exceptionally quick. She would chase birds for hundreds of yards at full speed. She was a joy to watch. They both enjoyed the attention and the play.
