Here is an interesting entry. Don't know how, or if, this person might link to our Paterson family. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission website (http://yard.ccta.gov.uk/cwgc) entry reads: In Memory of John Gunn Paterson Private 5432 56th Bn., Australian Infantry, A.I.F who died on Wednesday, 26th September 1917. Commemorative Information Memorial: YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium Grave Reference/Panel Number: Panel 7 - 17 - 23 - 25 - 27 - 29 - 31 Location: Ypres (now Ieper) is a town in the Province of West Flanders. The Memorial is situated at the eastern side of the town on the road to Menin and Courtrai, and bears the names of men who were lost without trace during the defence of the Ypres Salient in the First World War. | ||||||
