DEATH: Son, John Thomas, saw Lois go to bed 9:30pm on 24 Apr 1885. At ~6am John was informed by his son that Lois was dead outside her bedroom (on the ground floor, bedrooms for rest of family upstairs). About one year earlier, Lois had attempted to cut her throat. Lois walked on crutches. There had been no family quarrel. Evidence at inquest heard from J.P. (sic J.T.) Cooper, Alfred G. Cooper and Dr Fras Cheetham. [636], [637]
