| Margaret Slade wrote: "Charles Tunstall, baptised in 1752, married Mary Austin on 24.1.1774 at Adbaston, Stafford after the completion of the publication of the banns of the intended marriage of Charles Tunstall of High Offley, bachelor, of 21 years and upwards and Mary Austin of the parish, widow. The first child Martha daughter of Charles and Mary Tunstall of Adbaston was baptised on 9.10.1774 at Adbaston, but his remaining children were baptised at High Offley. 14.2.1776 William son of Charles and Mary Tunstall of Hill Hall baptised at High Offley 2.8.1777 Charles baptised in the same fashion at High Offley – this is the Charles who has gone abroad according to his uncle's will. 10.1.1779 Mary baptised in the same fashion at High Offley 25.6.1780 Sarah baptised in the same fashion at High Offley 10.5.1782 Anne baptised in the same fashion at High Offley 10.8.1783 Margaret baptised in the same fashion at High Offley" | ||||||||||||||
