| Later of High Offley, Staffordshire [236] Margaret Slade wrote: [366] "William senior seems to have been quite busy in his lifetime. He witnesses in 1760 the marriage of Edward Dodd and Catherine Forster. In 1764 he witnessed the marriage of John Cradock of the parish of Eccleshall aged 24 and Elizabeth Sandbrook of this parish aged 23 by licence." Not all of this family appear in the IGI. The family of William and Elizabeth were, as passed to me by Margaret Slade: [366] 6.1.1739.1 Mary daughter of William and Elizabeth Tunstall baptised Buried on 31 May of the same year at Wolstanton. She was followed by another Mary baptised at Wolstanton on 6.1.1740. The second Mary married John Blakemoor at Church Easton in Staffordshire on 23.6.1765. 25.4.1742 William son of William Tunstall and Elizabeth baptised at Newchapel (this is the William who lives at Wootton in Stanton Lacy and who makes the will) 2.4.1745 Thomas son of William and Elizabeth Tunstall baptised at High Offley. This one is not mentioned in his brother's will, so possibly died early in life. 30.4.1749 Charles son of William and Elizabeth baptised Buried on 20.6.1749 at High Offley 8.7.1750 Martha daughter of William and Elizabeth Tunstall baptised at High Offley. She married George Dawson at High Offley on 2.5.1774. 28.9.1752 Charles son of William and Elizabeth Tunstall baptised at High Offley (see below) 8.7.1755 Anne daughter of William and Elizabeth Tunstall baptised. She married William Neville on 26.12.1768 at St. Matthew Walsall. 25.7.1775 William Tunstall gent. Of the Hill Hall buried at High Offley 19.8.1790 Mrs Elizabeth Tunstall widow of Mr William Tunstall late of this parish buried. | ||||||||||||||||
