MANSFIELD -- Victor O. Billheimer Sr., 82, of Mansfield, died Thursday morning, May 31, 2007, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home.

Born March 26, 1925, in Congress, he was the son of Guy Roland and Ida Fern (Miller) Billheimer. Victor worked for Mansfield Correctional Facility many years ago and retired from Madison High School, where he worked as a custodian. He also worked for Mansfield Tire & Rubber Co. for 28 years.

He had been a member of First Church of God and volunteered at the Mansfield YMCA. A veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army, Victor was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS and American Legion Post 16. He enjoyed playing euchre with his friends.

Surviving are a son, Victor O. Billheimer Jr. of Dayton and a daughter, Judy Gramley of Edinboro, Pa.; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; brothers, Robert Billheimer of Columbus, James Billheimer of Crestline and David Billheimer of Florida; and sisters, Jessie Butler of Wooster and Elise Evans of Tucson, Ariz.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, George.

Friends may call Sunday, June 3, from 2-5 p.m. at Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Mansfield. Online guest registry at www.wappner.com.

Services will be Monday, June 4, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Larry Collins officiating. Military graveside services will be at Congress Cemetery and will be conducted by Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail.
