Additional Notes

I was looking on the veterans burial site for a listing of my Uncle, and could not determine that an entry had been made for him. He is buried in St. Joseph's Parish cemetery (Congress Twp) His service was WW2. He is Henry Claude Dawson b. October 21, 1921, and passed April 02, 1993 if you could add him to the rolls please. Thanks for you wonderful service!

John R. Dawson of Norwalk, Ohio

The cemetery where Uncle Henry is interred ais also the resting place for his father, Robert Dawson (my grandfather), and Henry's brother Ralph Dawson (my father) so I do get by the cemetery every so often. I plan to be buried there myself when that time arrives. I spoke very recently with Mr. John Murray, of Creston Ohio (Murray Funeral Home), and it was he who told me it was an old cemetery known as St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery, and that he understood that years ago a Church was located there. (No longer) I see the sign at the cemetery lists it as the Yost Parish Cemetery. John Murray indicated that it was probably referred to as Yost because the Yost family owned that and other lands in that area.

I am a first cousin to the Ronald Dawson who you mentioned. He is buried in the Burbank Cemetery, I believe it is called. Ron was born in 1938, and I, in 1939. I have not lived in that area since I was an infant.

I do know that Henry was in the old Army Air Force.

Thanks Again...John R. Dawson, former USMC
