The people listed in this record as children of "Bandon Haggertys" were not all sisters and brothers. Their parents are unknown. However, they are all listed in Ballymodan Parish registers, County Cork Ireland, or in FamilySearch.org in the 1700s and 1800s. Ballymodan includes the portion of the town of Bandon and surrounding area that is south of the Bandon River. It is presumed that these Haggertys were all related and this artificial "father" was created solely to connect the Bandon Haggertys to one another. There were also Haggertys in neighbouring parts of Cork. See my database at:
