Will of Emily Jane Tozier Tremble
(1880-1963)

Written July 15, 1963

I Emily J. Tremble, being of sound and disposing mind and memory and not being under the duress or undue influence of any persons whomsoever do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner following:

First, I hereby revoke all prior wills and codicils by me made.

Second, I declare that I am a widow that my husband John E. Tremble passed away on March 26, 1963.

Third, that I have never had any child or children.

Note: This was the handwritten will enclosed with Emily Tremble's estate papers. Her personal furniture and belongings were valued at $40.00. It appears she gave everything away before she died -- probably to the niece who was living with her in Arlington, CA. The house sold for $9310 in 1964 and the estate was divided as indicated. Fourth, That all my property was at the time of the death of my husband the Joint property of both of us and accumulated by us during our marriage and was held by us during his lifetime as joint tenants with the right of survivership. That we were married July 19- 1910.

Fifth. I hereby nominate and appoint the nephew of my deceased husband Louis T. Fletcher of 1410 Stratford Ave So. Pasadena, Calif. as executer of my last will and testament to serve without bond and without fee as such executer. Should the said Louis T. Fletcher fail or refuse or for any reason be unable to act as such executer, then such event I nominate and appoint The Security First National Bank as such executor.

Sixth. I hereby give devise and bequeath to my Niece Pearl H. Grundy one half of my estate to have and to hold as her seperate property. Seventh. The remaining one half of my estate I give devise and bequeath as follows:

One half thereof to the daughters of Haven Grove Tremble. Jeannette Marie and Joyce Olive Tremble equal shares. To Haven Grove Tremble, son of my deceased husband - I bequesth $1.00. The remaining one half thereof in equal shares to Ida Dess Horten and Dora Jean Gibb who are the daughters of Louis Ray Tremble also son of my deceased husband.

Eighth. It is my will that none other than those mentioned in this my will share take or benefit or receive anything or any part of my estate and should anyone be named herein or otherwise in any manner contest my will or claim anything of any part of my estate, to that person I leave but the sun of ($1.00) dollar. Ninth. It is my intent by this my last will and testament to give one half of my estate to these blood relatives of my deceased husband who are named herein but none other and the remaining one half to my niece the said Pearl N. Grundy, the daughter of my sister Vina D. Harville.

Tenth. To my brother Delmar G. Tozier of Fairfield, Maine, and to all his heirs and my nieces and nephews of my deceased brother Ozro A. Tozier and deceased sisters. I leave and it is my will that they take nothing by this my will and testament. Made this July 15 - 1963.
