Obituary from The Skyland Post, Ashe County, North Carolina, dated June 19, 1941:
ohn C. Williams Buried Monday
John Clinton Williams, well known farmer, of the Fleetwood section died at his home there on Sunday and burial took place on Monday in the Fleetwood cemetery with the Revs. Mr. Winkler, of Todd, P.H. Haire and J.H. Gentry, in charge of the service at Baptist church.
The deceased, who was a native of Ashe county, was born at West Jefferson, March 20, 1873 and was 68 years old at the time of his death. His wife preceded him to the grave some time ago.
He is survived by three sons and on daughter; Chester William's of Bluefield, West Va.; Donald Williams, of Lynchburg, Va.; Mrs. Lucy Buskell, of Baldwin; Glenn Williams, of Fleetwood, two brothers, A.M. Williams, of Cottonwood, Idaho, and Chas. H. Williams of Fleetwood, also survive.
