Obituary from The Franklin Press, Macon County, North Carolina, dated October 26, 1941:
Death Takes Mrs. Moore At Patton
Mrs. Sallie Stewart Moore, widow of Parker Moore, died Friday, October 20, at 4:30 p.m. at the home of a son, Harley Stewart, in the Patton coummunity, Route 1. She was 69.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moore were conducted on the 23rd at 2 p.m. at the Ellijay Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Officiating were the Rev. Lawson Snyder and the Rev. Frank Reed.
Born in Jackson County June 19, 1872, she was the daughter of the late John and Mrs. Cindy Owen Stewart. She and Mr. Moore were married here July 4, 1909. He died in August of 1932.
In addition to her son, Harley Stewart, surviving are another son, Charlie Moore, of Highlands; two daughters, Mrs Kate Rhinehart, of Webster, and Mrs. William W. Berry, of Franklin, Route 5; a brother Jack Stewart, of Cashiers; 20 grandchildre; and seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Bryant Funeral Home.
