Mildred Louise McCoy, 55, of Franklin, died Monday, Jan. 29, at a local hospital.
A native of Macon County, she was a daughter of the late Sheridan and Flora Holland McCoy. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts, cooking and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Della Ann McCoy and Dorothy Angel.
She is survived by a daughter, Michaelle Runken of Franklin; five brothers, Odell McCoy of Taylor, Mich., Jack McCoy of Kalamazoo, Mich., Fred McCoy of Seneca, S.C. and Ned McCoy and Mike McCoy, both of Franklin; two sons, Mitchell Cabe and MaAron Cabe, both of Franklin; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m., at Macon County, North Carolina - Mt. Moriah Cemetery at Goldmine. Dr. Wendell Ligon and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m., at Iotla Baptist Church.
