Mrs. R.F. Henry Dies Tuesday

Well Known Lady Passes At Her Residence Near Franklin

Mrs. Ruth Angeline Henry, 64, died at her home on Franklin Route 4, Tuesday night at 10:30, following an illness of one week. Death was caused from asthama and pneumonia.
Funeral services were held at the Holly Springs Baptist church this (Thursday) morning at 10:30. The Rev. W.B. Underwood, pastor of the Franklin Baptist church, was in charge of the services. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Henry was the daughter of the late William Berry and Angeline Moore Berry. She was a member of the Franklin Baptist church, having joined the church in early childhood.
Surviving are her husband, Robert F. Henry, and five children; Miss Ina Henry, Miss Esta Henry, Mrs. Dewey Rochester and Don Henry, of Franklin, and Claude Henry, of Morganton; two sisters, Mrs. T.W. Angel, Sr., of Franklin, and Mrs. Harriett Higdon, of Higdonville; three brothers, Logan A. Berry, of Franklin Route 4, Jack Berry, of Gniess, and Alex Berry, of Ellijay. Parents: William H. BERRY and Mary Angeline MOORE.

Mr. Berry

William G. Berry, 85, of Seven Springs, died Thursday, Feb. 14, after a long illness.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late James Alexander and Minnie Sellars Berry. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in Normandy and North Africa.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Feb. 16, in Goldsboro. Parents: James M. Alexander "Alex" BERRY and Minnie SELLERS.

Jack Junior Berry, 65, of Valdese, died Wednesday, May 24, in a Valdese hospital.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Jack and Gertrude Coggins Berry. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Berry. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Valdese.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Berry, of the home; two daughters, Revonda Martin of Connelly Springs, and Debbie Cannon of Mascoutah, Ill.; two brothers, J. Berry of Cowpens, S.C., and A. Berry of Franklin; seven sisters, Marie Hedden and Mattie Devlin, both of Candler, Lora Hedden of Waynesville, Elmarie Hedden, Virginia Dills and Edlay Pruitt, all of Franklin, and Martha Dowdle of Georgia; three grandchildren; and one step-son, Paul Martin of Lincolnton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, in the Kirksey Chapel of Family Funeral Care, Valdese, with Revs. Jon Cannon and Leonard Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Burke Memorial Park.

William (Dude) Berry
William W. (Dude) Berry, 63, of the Higdonville Community, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 12, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
A native of Macon County, Mr. Berry was a mechanic and farmer and was the son of the late W. A. and Tishie Higdon Berry.
Surviving, in addiiton to his wife, Mrs. Annie Moore Berry, are five dauthers, Mrs. George Moses, Mrs. Doyle Woods, and Mrs Warren Henry, all of Franklin, Mrs. Wendell Scott, of Canton, and Mrs. Chester Sorrells, of Waynesville; five sons, Andy, Bill, and Allen Berry, all of Franklin, Tommy Berry, of Blairsville, Ga., and Reece Berry, of Caryville, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Woodrow Teague, of Franklin; one brother, Wade Berry, of Gray Court, S.
