John Edward

Mr. Jennings
John Edward Jennings, age 62, of the Ellijay Community, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, after a period of declining health.
He was a native of Macon County, a son of the late Vance and Ollie Allen Jennings. He was a farmer and was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Dollie Moss Jennings; a daughter, Brenda Henry of Franklin; a step-daughter, Mrs. Mack HOlland of Cullowhee; a son, Vance Jennings of Franklin; a step-son, Johnny Moss of Cullowhee, a sister, Allie Moore of Franklin; and four step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Officiating ministers will be Revs. John Goforth, Darryl Womack, and Ernie Sanders. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be J.D. Gibson, Michael Holland, Jack Henry, James Henry, Tommy Greene, and Allen Nichols. The Franklin VFW will present the color guard and conduct the graveside services. Parents: Vance JENNINGS and Ollie May ALLEN.
