Della Ham Roten
Funeral services for Della Ham Roten, 85, Creston, were held Tuesday, June 19, 11 a.m. at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at Sapp Cemetery in Creston. The Revs. Bluferd Eldreth and Roger Poole officiated.
Mrs. Roten died Sunday, June 17 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. She was born March 23, 1905 in Ashe County, to Wiley and Callie Sapp Ham.
Surviving are her son, Delmer Roten of West Jefferson; daughter, Dorothy Little of Boone; sisters Pearl Elliott of Lansing, Floss Roten of Creston; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Roten; sons Vaughn and Norman Roten.
Memorials may be made to Three Top Baptist Church, c/o W. M. Lewis, Jr., Creston, N.C. 28615.
