Mr. Cruse
Lloyd E. "Jack" Cruse, 68, of 21 Siler Rd, died Friday, Dec. 2, at his home.
A native of Chattanooga, Tenn., he was the son of the late Fred E. and Jewel Langston Cruse. He retired from Belden in 1980, and was a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, former pastor of Mt. Sinai Assembly of God and ministered in many churches in this area. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walker C. Cruse.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathryn Elizabeth Roten Cruse; two sons, Rick Cruse and Michael Cruse, both of Franklin; a daughter, Sharon Brooks of Franklin; two brothers, Floyd Earnest Cruse and Max Duane Cruse, both of Franklin; four sisters; Doris Hunter of Franklin, Ruth Medlin of Otto, Shirley Cole of Atlanta, Ga., and Joan Kameh of W. Springfield, Va.; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.,. on Monday, Dec. 5, in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Burial was in Maidens Chapel Cemetery. VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108 conducted graveside rites.
Pallbearers were Doyle Woods, Larry Bolick, David O'Dell, Dude Smith, Scott Holland and Dan Rogers.
