Mr. Crisp
Claude John Crisp, 74, of Franklin, died Friday, Dec. 29, at his residence.
A native of Macon County, he was a son of the late Parker and Minnie Henry Crisp. He was a building contractor and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lillie Chastain Crisp; two daughters, Linda Skinner of Webster and LaVern Fritter of Martinsville, Va.; one son, Robert Crisp of Franklin; two sisters, Margaret Holland and Mable Thomas, both of Franklin; four brothers, Harvey Crisp, Earl Crisp and Carl Crisp, all of Franklin, and Truman Crisp of Manassas, Va.; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 31, at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Rogers officiated. Burial was in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Glen Holland, Landy Holland, Scottie Thomas, Richman Crisp, Willard Crisp and Bucky Stewart served as pallbearers.
Bryant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Parents: John Parker CRISP and Minnie HENRY.

Harvey Dale Crisp
Harvey Dale Crisp, 87, of Franklin, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at his residence.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Parker Crisp and Minnie Henry Crisp. He was married to the late Kathryn Elizabeth Dalton Crisp who died in 1997 and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Collier and Mabel Thomas, and three brothers, Charles Crisp, Claude Crisp and Truman Crisp. Mr. Crisp worked for Western Carolina Telephone County. and was a lifelong farmer.
He is survived by three children, Peggy Giddens of Murphy, Janice Crisp and Vickey Rowland, both of Franklin; two brothers, Carl Crisp and Earl Crisp, both of Franklin; one sister, Margaret Holland of Franklin; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and friend and companion Georgiana Correll.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Richard Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 19, at Macon Funeral Home.
