John GALUS 31 Dec 1875 - 2 Mar 1940 |
Anna GALUS nee KUSH 8 May 1879 - abt 9 Dec 1969 |
John GALUS was born in Leki Dolne,
Galicia, Austria Poland
on 31 Dec 1875*. On 25 Oct 1900 in Leki Parish John married Anna KUSH,
daughter of Michael and Agnes FARCZAK KUSH. Anna was born 8 May 1879 in
Leki Gorne, Galicia, Austria Poland. Leki Gorne and Leki Dolne are
small villages not far from each other. They are one church parish.
According to the 1920 Nebraska census for John and Anna immigrated in
about 1906. In 1920 they were living in Loup City, Sherman county,
Nebraska. In the early 1920's they moved to South Omaha. John and Anna
are buried in different sections of St. John's cemetery.
I have traced John's family back through the microfilm records of Leki Dolne, but have not made a connection to my GALUS family as yet. I have more information about John and Anna on my Unrelated (so far) GALUS Families page. *Correction: I originally had John's birth date as 31 Jan 1876. Closer scrutiny of the parish baptism ledger shows he was born 31 Dec 1875. |

As I noted above for John and Anna, I have not made a connection to this GALUS family as yet. | |
