Mrs. Ursula Kudron Dies Today at Home of Daughter

Mrs. Ursula Kudron, 75, former resident of Nance county for over 30 years, died following a heart attack at 12:30 a.m. today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Stanley [Martha] Galus, two miles south of Columbus.

Although she had been in failing health, she had not been bedfast, and was quite active until her death.

She was born June 11, 1865 in Pilsno, Poland at (sic) Ursula Modelski. She spent her early life in that country, marrying Thomas Kudron there in 1891. To their marriage were born three sons and three daughters.

With her husband and family, Mrs. Kudron came to this country in 1907, when they settled on a farm two miles south of Genoa, where the family resided until three years ago when they moved to Columbus to make their home. After the death of Mr. Kudron in 1938, Mrs. Kudron made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Galus.

She was a devout member of the St. Anthony's Catholic church here. During her busy life, the use of her time and interests were concerned largely with her home and family.

She is survived by two sons, Andrew of Sioux City, Ia., and John of Winnemucca, Nev., and three daughters, Mrs. Stanley [Martha] Galus of Columbus, Mrs. Joe [Katherine] Spes of Ewing, and Mrs. Charles [Anna] Tragarz of Shelby. She also leaves 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One son, Frank, preceded her in death.

Services will be held at the St. Anthony's church at 9 a.m. Monday with Rev. Father Kasimir, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery. The body will be taken from the Gass Funeral home to the Galus home where it will lie in state after 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
