Angela M. Fehringer

Angela M. Fehringer, 89, a Peetz [Colorado] resident 62 years, died at the Harms Nursing Home in American Falls, ID, Friday, Jan. 20.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peetz with Fr. Thomas Clement officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Peetz.

A Parish Rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church in Peetz.

Memorials are to either Sacred Heart Church or the "Make a Wish" Foundation for Children.

Angela Mary Zach was born May 24, 1899 at Humphrey, NE, the daughter of Ignatz and Anna Braun Zach. She was raised and attended school in Humphrey and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School with the class of 1916. She married Leo Fehringer at Humphrey on Jan. 13, 1925. They resided near Humphrey until 1926 when they moved to farm near Peetz. They continued farming until their retirement in 1954 when they moved into Peetz. Mr. Fehringer died on March 18, 1971.

Angela remained in Peetz until 1977 when health conditions made it necessary for her to live with her children. In July of 1987 she moved to Pocatello, ID, where she lived with a granddaughter and her family. In December, 1988 she moved to the Harms Nursing Home in American Falls.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peetz, the Altar Society, and a choir member for many years.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandchild and 4 great grandchildren.

Survivors include seven sons: Arnold and Leo of Aberdeen, ID; Alvin, Mark, Gerald and Edward, all of American Falls, ID, and Charles of Peetz; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Coletta) Roelle and Mrs. Walter (Marcella) Schumacher, both of Peetz, and Barbara Schaefer of Sterling, CO; 63 grandchildren, 98 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Gehrig and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Prominent Peetz Man Dies At 69

A resident of the Peetz, Colo. community for 45 years, Leo F. Fehringer, 69, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colo. He had been hospitalized for a week and had undergone major surgery on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Peetz with the Rev. Robert Hehn of Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The Gehrig and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Church.

Memorials have been designated for Sacred Heart Church.

Leo Frank Fehringer was born Jan. 11, 1902 at Humphrey, Neb. to George and Katherine German Fehringer. He was married at Humphrey on Jan. 13, 1925 to Angela Zach and they lived there until 1926 when they moved to a farm near Peetz. In 1954 they retired from farming and moved into town.

Mr. Fehringer was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society.

Surviving are the widow; seven sons, Arnold, Alvin and Leo of Aberdeen, Idaho, Mark, Gerald, Edward and Charles of American Falls, Idaho; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Colette) Roelle and Mrs. Walter (Marcella) Schumacher of Peetz and Mrs. James (Barbara) Schaefer of Sterling; 62 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six brothers and three sisters, John, Joe, Vic and George of Peetz, Ted of Lindsey, Neb., Andrew of Humphrey, Sister M. Martina of Oshkosh, Wis., Mrs. Bertha Ramackers of Humphrey and Clara Fehringer of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bernard.
