Bruce's GGG Grandparents were Jacob and Sophia SHULER KEELEY. Sophia was a daughter of William and Sarah CROLL SHULER. There are several SHULER burials at Brownback's cemetery. Our research on this line is new. (December 2001)

Bruce's 4th Gr Grandparents were Henry and Mary Magdalin PAUL BROWNBACK/BRUMBACH. Mary Magdalin's parents were John and Mary ________ PAUL. Mary Magdalin (wife of Henry) was born February 23, 1739, so the tombstone below could not be hers. This could conceivably be her mother, wife of John. We currently have no data that would confirm this premise.

A marriage announcement dated May 20, 1856, from the newspaper clipping files of the Chester County Historical Society reads:

By the Rev. J. B. Knipe, on the evening of the 24th of April, Mr. ROBERT KEELEY, of West Vincent, to Miss CATHARINE PLETT, of East Vincent.

We do not know how the following John and Mary PLETT tie in as yet.

Frederick PRIZER married Bruce's GGG Grandaunt, Susanna BROWNBACK, daughter of Henry and Mary Magdalene PAUL BROWNBACK, sister of John BROWNBACK (GGG Grandfather). Frederick was a son of Johannes and Anna Christina MUELLER PREISSER. SHULER, died December 3, ???? * Buried at Brownback's Cemetery According to the cemetery extract for Brownback's Church, Lewis and Zilpha and two of their children are buried there. Bruce wasn't able to find the gravesites this last trip. We'll look again the next time we travel east. (December 2001) We have a newpaper clipping relating the death of Oliver E. SHULER, but the year was not included on the clipping. Oliver E. Shuler Last evening, Oliver E. Shuler, treasurer of the Glasgow Iron Works, Pottstown, died after an illness of some length. He was a son of the late Lewis H. and Zilpha Strickland Shuler, and was born at Pughtown, South Coventry. His father was a farmer and merchant at that village for years. The deceased lived at home until he was 18 years of age and attended the public schools, but went to Pottstown in 1880, but returned to Pughtown after his father's death and conducted the store for a time. He then entered the employ of the big Glasgow Iron Company and became its treasurer. He was married and leaves a widow and several children. There are many other relatives in that section. Mr. Shuler was a member and official of the Y.M.C.A and church and other organizations and greatly esteemed.
