Bruce's GGG Grandmother was Margaret DEFRAIN, daughter of Peter and Eve DEFRAIN. Margaret married John BROWNBACK. Margaret's sister Susan DEFRAIN married (1) Edward BROWNBACK & (2) Peter BROWNBACK. (See previous page for tombstones.) We do not have any further information on our DeFRAIN line, so we do not know if the following DEFRAINs connect to our family.

BENNERs married into the BROWNBACK family. We do not know how (or if) these BENNERs fit into the picture.

Resource: LDS microfilm 1294884, Chester County East Coventry, Brownback Cemetery extract. Title of record: Brownback's (Coventry) Reformed Church Burials. Item 7. Title page: Burials at Brownback's Reformed Church, East Coventry, Chester County. Copied summer of 1961 by Raymond E. Hollenback.

There are a few BENNERs who are connected to our BROWNBACK family. We are not sure if John and Susan connect as yet. These dates are from the cemetery extract in CCHS library. A parenthetical note on the LDS extract indicates Susan's maiden name was MOFAKER.
