Simon Tuttle

Simon was born June 2, 1721 in Wallingford, CT. On November 20, 1746, he was married by Rev. Jeremiah Curtis in Southington, Connecticut who omitted the name of the bride in his record. However, we know from other records that his wife was Hester Royce, daughter of Abel Royce and Joanna Beach. Hester was born in Wallingford on December 2, 1727.

Simon received a deed of land in Cambridge Parish in Southington from his father, Timothy Tuttle, though Simon and his family soon removed to Prospect, CT. It is said that Simon and his sons were Loyalists during the Revolutionary War. Simon died sometime after 1777. The date of Hester's death is unknown.
