Oliver, a yeoman, was born ca 1535 at Tingrith, Bedfordshire, England and died there on August 25, 1616. His will, dated November 15, 1611 and proved October 9, 1616, mentioned his wife Joan (____) and son George who was willed £10 when he attains age 18. According to a 1618 deposition at Tingrith, "Oliver Bunker died since the last court, and that George Bunker is his next heir, namely the son of George Bunker deceased who was the son and heir of the said Oliver." In the name of God Amen te xvth day of Noveber ibii [1616] I Oliver Buncker of Tyngreeff in the County of Bedford, yeoman, sicke and deseased in body but of shoure and pfect memory thankes be given to our Lord God everlasting make this my laste will and testament in manner and forme following, ffyrst I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my creator and redeemer and my body to be buried in the Church of Tyngreeffee aforesayde, and as for all my wordly goods I give and bequeath in maner and fforme ffolowing, ffirst I give and bequeath to my sone ffransicyor [Francis] Buncker the full sume of XII-ls currate lawful english money to be payd to my sone ffraconcycs of his lawful assign whin one whole yeare after my deease of Johan [Joan] my wyffe, or he longer liver of us both, and I give to my sonne Edmund [Edward according to the Parish records] the entyer somme of eyght pounds like lawful money of england to be paid to my sonne Edmund or his assigne at and next the same tyme and dey with ffranncys Buncker is nex and imediately before prfixed. Item I give to my sone Tymothy Bunckre the ful sume of twelve ounds currat lawful money of england to be paid to him or his assignes within the terme of twoe yeares nest ensuing after the decease of me and my wyffe Johan or the survivor of us, and I likewise give to my sone William Buncker the ful and entyer sume of sixe pounds lawful english money to be paid unto him, his heyres or assign within the terme of two yeares next, and immediately on completion and delivered after my decease and the decease of Johan my wyffe. ANd I further give to m sone John his heires and assign the ful and entyre sume of forthy pounds [currat] lawful money of england to be paid to him, or his heyres or assigne in forme and maner following that is to saie the first XXX-ls pounds by five pounds yearly after my decease and if is shall happen that my wyffe deptejer natural lyefe befor the sayde XX-1s shall be paid at one entyer paiment thewhole sume remaining to be paid within one quarter of a year after her decease and the other XX-ls to be paid within five years after the decease of Johan my wyffe. And furthermore I give to the children of William Vanse, my sone in lawe, and Ales his wyefe, sixe pounds of currat lawful english money of england, that is to saie to Susan Vanse forty shillings, to John Vanse xxci-s vviii-d, to Hery Vanse xxvi-s viii-d and to William Vanse xxvi-s viii-d a1 and every one of the saide portion of portions to be paid to William Vanse my sone in law or his lawful assignes, within the terme of five yeares next to be copleated after the decease of me and Johan my wyefe to the benefit of the sayde children of William aforesayde. And I further give to William Chardge three pounds sixe shillings eight pence and to Susan Chardge three pounds sixe shillings eyght pence and to Martha Chardge three pounds sixe shillings eyght pence, this sayde sume of X-1s currat lawful money of england bequeathed in this maner aforesayde, to be paid to John Chardge [his son-in-law] their father or his lawful assigne within the terme of five yeares next to determain and after the decease of me and Johan my wyefe, for the use and benefit of the children of John Chardge aforesayde. And I further give to the children of my sone Thomas Buncker the ful and entyre sume of sixe ounds currat english money payable and to be distributed amonge al and every of them by even portion within two yeares after the decease of me and Johan my wyefe next and immediately to each and every. and if yt shall happen any of the children of William Vanse my sone in law or any of the children of the sayde John Chardge my sone in law, or any of ther children of my sone THomas Buncker do decease this naturallyef before his, hers or their portion or portions to be equallie divided amonge the rest of their brothers and systers, and their assings, him, her or their survivyor, I wonided, that his some of fower score pounds currat lawful english money to be paid after the decease of me and Johan my wyefe, in manner and forme above specified shall be froe and venture of above obligation wherein William Buncker of Harlingfordbury in teh County of Hartford, and George Buncker of Bougai [Bengeo] in the County aforesayde, I had royally and irevocally bownde to Oliver Buncker my executor and assigne and befinning at the first of October in the sixe and thirtyeth yeare of the raigne of our Lat Souveraigne Lady Elizabeth by the Grace of God of England, ffrance and Ireland I swere the sayde syne if fiwre sciare pounds be quickly conterred paid or otherwise by lawe evicted and now moved. I further give to Tymothy Vanse the youngest sone of William Vanse his father my sone in law aforesayde xxvi-s viii-d to be ayed to the sayde William Vanse his father my sone in lawe aforesayde within one yeare after good and lawful payment of the former twenty-ls by five pounds yearely to be payed to John Buncker or his assign or likewise give to my wyefe Johan and John Buncker the all and Tymothy Buncker payed imediately after my wyefe decease or otherwise above informed and bequeathed by equal portions of xx-s apiece within one yeare after my decease the entyre sume _____ through executors al other my grandchuldren whch have not formerly have been within my last will and testament, 3 pounds sixe shillings eyght pence to be distributed amonge al and every one of them in even portions within three yeares after my decease. I further give to the poore of Tyngrieffe xv-s to be bestowed upon them at and upon the daie of my burial, thereof. Last my goods and chattells unbequeathed my debts contented and satisfied my funeral expenses paied and pformed, I give and bequeath to Joane Buncker, my wyefe, whom I make my sole and only executrix, to this my last wil and testament peformed and rightr. In witness wherof I the sayd Oliver Buncker aforesayd have srt my hande and seale, the daie and yeare first above written.

And for my wordly goods I give and bequeath in manner followithe. ffsyte I give and bequeath to my daughter Julian Ogardy a black roned cowe to be delivere dprsently after my decease, a bedstead, a mattrice, a flock bed, fower feather bolsters, three pillows, a coveringe, a greene blanket, a white blanket, three payer of sheetes, a bason, a kettle, and a barrell. And to her sone Oliver Ogardy Sixe and Twenty shillings eyght pense currat lawful english money to be delivered to his father John Ogardy for the use of teh sayd Olyver within sixe months of my decease, and I doe liewise give unto Susan Ogardye my grandchild on rone bullocke to be delivered unto John Ogardye her father to the use of the sayd. And I doe likewise give unto Tymothy Panse [Vanse/Vause?] the osne pf William Panse the ful and entyre somme of sixe and twenty shillings eyght pense of currat lawful money of England to be payd to William aforesayde, whin three quarters of a yeare after my decease. And I dow lykewyse further give to my sone Edward Buncher a ayre of Sheetes. The rest of my goodes and chattells unbequeathere, my debts discharged, my funeral expense satisfied, I give to my sone Tymothy Buncher _____ make my sole and only executor to this my _____ testament fulfilled.
