This information appears only in Morse, with a scant mention..1 He married Louisa Jane Millett on 17 October 1847.1 Jonathan Richards was counted in the census of 1860 - free in 1860 at Oxford, Oxford, ME.3 Jonathan died after 1884. He resided at Paris, Oxford, ME, in 1884, at Darius Forbes farm. Latham places him on the Forbes farm at the time of publication. This would indicate first hand knowledge by the author..4

According to Morse, Samuel "served three years' apprenticeship with Simeon Walton, and became established, 1856, as a watchmaker and jeweller at S. Paris, Me., where he now resides, in the skilful and honorable transaction of business. Few others have taken so much interest or contributed so much aid to this work, and to him will his numerous and distant kinsman owe the recovery of their genealogy." In 1856 at So.
