     Jonathan was born at Oxford, Oxford, ME, on 26 September 1819.1,2 He was the son of Benjamin Richards and Joanna P. Jenkins. He resided at OH, in 1847. This information appears only in Morse, with a scant mention..1 He married Louisa Jane Millett on 17 October 1847.1 Jonathan Richards was counted in the census of 1860 - free in 1860 at Oxford, Oxford, ME.3 Jonathan died after 1884. He resided at Paris, Oxford, ME, in 1884, at Darius Forbes farm. Latham places him on the Forbes farm at the time of publication. This would indicate first hand knowledge by the author..4
